Charming bed & breakfast near Saint-Émilion: why choose Pavillon des Millésimes

When you search for a charming bed and breakfast near Saint-Émilion, you're spoilt for choice. The region is full of addresses — from intimate stone cottages to wine estates offering guest rooms. So why choose Pavillon des Millésimes, in Lussac, over anywhere else?

Because we don't tick boxes. We create an experience. An exceptional setting in a historic manor house, a personalised welcome, a private SPA, a table d'hôtes that's worth the trip on its own, and the quiet of the vineyards as your backdrop. Here's what sets us apart.

A historic manor in the heart of Lussac-Saint-Émilion

Pavillon des Millésimes isn't your typical guest house. It's an 800 m² manor built in 1882, listed and carefully restored. This building has lived many lives: it first housed the town hall, the gendarmerie and the courthouse, then a school in the 1930s, before becoming the Maison des Vins et du Tourisme de Lussac in the 1980s.

Today, it's a boutique guest house with 5 rooms and 2 studios, each with its own character. The proportions are generous — high ceilings, a double-revolution staircase — but the atmosphere remains warm and welcoming, like staying in someone's beautiful home.

We're in Lussac, in the heart of the Lussac-Saint-Émilion appellation, just 10 minutes from the medieval village of Saint-Émilion. The location is ideal: close enough to visit the UNESCO-listed town with ease, far enough to enjoy the peace of the vineyards without the tourist crowds.

Character suites, not cookie-cutter rooms

What people often dislike about hotels is the uniformity. Every room looks the same. In a charming bed and breakfast, you expect something different — and that's exactly what you get at the Pavillon.

Each of our five suites has its own identity: considered décor, carefully chosen furniture, views over the park or the vines. The spaces are generous, designed so you feel at home — not in transit.

Our two studios complement the offer for longer stays or families who want more independence, while still enjoying the Pavillon's shared spaces.

What makes the difference here is the attention to detail. The quality of the bedding, the natural materials, the way the light falls, the thoughtful touches in every room. Nothing is left to chance.

A private SPA: the real luxury

This is perhaps our most distinctive asset. Many charming B&Bs in the Saint-Émilion area offer lovely accommodation, but very few have a private SPA.

At Pavillon des Millésimes, the wellness space includes a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room — and crucially, it's fully private during your session. No one else in the space, no compromise. It's a luxury that's almost impossible to find in other guest houses in the area.

Massages are also available by appointment, delivered by qualified practitioners. Relaxation massage, couples massage — the perfect complement to a day among the vines.

The heated pool and landscaped garden

The Pavillon opens onto a beautiful terrace with a landscaped garden, where the heated pool sits among the trees. It's a living space in its own right — for breakfast in the morning, a swim in the afternoon, or a glass of wine at sunset. These are the moments you simply don't get in an impersonal hotel.

Free parking by the church at 80 meters, open access to the pool and garden throughout your stay.

La Table du Pavillon: the food people come back for

It's often underestimated, but the table d'hôtes is frequently what makes or breaks a stay in a guest house. At Pavillon des Millésimes, our table d'hôtes is a genuine bistro-style dining experience.

The chef works with market produce and local suppliers. Every menu is different, shaped by the seasons and the day's ingredients. The wines — naturally — come from neighbouring estates, and the service is warm, never stiff.

Our guests say it often: they came for the rooms, they come back for the food. It's a dinner shared in the intimacy of the house, not in an anonymous restaurant.

What our guests say: rated 4.9/5 on Google and 9.6/10 on Booking.com. Over 1,400 travellers welcomed every year.

A welcome that makes all the difference

In a charming bed and breakfast, the welcome isn't a detail — it's everything. At Pavillon des Millésimes, you're greeted by Nathalie and David, who live on site and know the region inside out.

What we offer isn't a set of keys and a tourist map. It's genuine guidance: we point you to the best wine estates based on your tastes, book your visits and restaurants, and share the walks and viewpoints that only locals know about.

It's this closeness — the feeling of being welcomed into a friend's home, a friend who happens to have the best addresses — that sets us apart from hotels and larger establishments.

What makes us different from other guest houses

Every B&B has its charm. But here's what Pavillon des Millésimes offers that very few others combine:

The private SPA — Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, exclusively yours. Almost no other B&B in the region offers this.

The bistro-style table — Not just a nice breakfast: a full dinner every evening, with local wines.

The historic building — 800 m² of an 1882 manor house, respectfully restored. Not an annex, not a conversion.

Heated pool — To enjoy the garden from May to October.

The location — In Lussac, surrounded by vines, yet 10 minutes from Saint-Émilion. The best of both worlds.

The personal welcome — Hosts who live on site, know every winemaker, and craft your stay around you.
